About iSNIOE² -2024
The Department of Physics at the Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence Deemed to be University (SNIoE), in partnership with UNSW Sydney, Australia, and KTH-Sweden, organized the ``International Conference on Sustainable Nanomaterials Integration & Organization for Energy and Environment`` (iSNIOE² -2024). With over 250 participants hailing from India and abroad, this conference united researchers and practitioners from academia, industry, and research laboratories worldwide, facilitating the dissemination of groundbreaking knowledge in sustainable nanomaterials and their innovative applications in renewable energy and environmental conservation. During the four-day event, the conference featured parallel symposia dedicated to both experimental and theoretical research on sustainable nanomaterials, nanoscience, and miniaturized, as well as flexible devices for energy and environmental applications. The conference showcased a total of 183 presentations, comprising 11 Plenary Speakers, 20 keynote speakers, 47 invited speakers, 46 oral presentations, and 59 poster presentations, providing valuable insights and fostering collaborations among participants. Distinguished plenary speakers, including Prof. Yury Gogotsi (A.J. Drexel Nanomaterials Institute, USA), Prof. K. K. Pant (IIT, Roorkee), Prof. Satishchandra Ogale (TCG-CREST, Kolkata), Prof. Vijayamohanan Pillai (IISER Tirupati), Prof. Tanusri Saha Dasgupta (SNBNCBS, Kolkata), Prof. Daria Andreeva–Baeumler (NUS, Singapore), Prof. Ranjan Singh (NTU, Singapore), Prof. Amlan J Pal (UGC-DAE CSR, Indore), Prof. Puru Jena (VCU, Richmond), Prof. Kerstin Forsberg (KTH, Sweden), and Prof. Masamichi Yoshimura (Toyota Technological Institute, Japan), graced the symposium sessions, illuminating R&D advancements and disseminating cutting-edge research activities. Additionally, over sixty eminent speakers from various parts of the world enriched the conference with profound knowledge through keynote and invited talks. Moreover, the researchers presented their work through both oral and poster presentations, garnering valuable feedback from esteemed experts. Furthermore, participants seized enhanced opportunities to cultivate new collaborations and expand their networks within academia and industry. Various prestigious awards, such as Wiley's sponsored Early Career Researcher Awards (ECR), particularly for Women in STEM, and Wiley's sponsored Awards for Interdisciplinary and Environmental Sustainability Fields, were bestowed to honor their significant contributions. Additionally, Wiley's Best Oral Presentation awards and ACS' Best Poster Presentation awards were granted to 5 and 8 students respectively, acknowledging the exemplary work of young researchers, including undergraduate students, and nurturing their enthusiasm for research. The conference hosted a Three Minute Thesis (3MT) presentation award, evaluating participants' capacity to succinctly communicate their doctoral research to the scientific community within a three-minute timeframe. Three students emerged as recipients of these accolades. The event wrapped up with a valedictory ceremony and the distribution of certificates. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our speakers and attendees for contributing to the success of iSNIOE² -2024!
